Another version like Sonata Arctica, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Shenna Easton etc. But I choose Bete Midler as the singer who popularized this song for the first time at least in my opinion though Roger Whittaker was the first singer who released "The Wind Beneath My Wings" in 1982. Bette Midler succesfully sang this song and become one of the most popular song in 1988 as the soundtrack to the film "Beaches". This song impressed me until now and I like the lyrics, it talks about God as a hero for someone and the writer said that The Hero is The Wind Beneath his wings and everybody who believe in Him. He makes you fly againtst the sky. This is a good song ever.
