The Bangles is the American band who released "Eternal Flame" in 1988 in their album Everything. This song became a hit single in 1989. Eternal Flame is a ballad song that is described as The Beatles meet The Byrds by Billy Steinberg. According to Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles, this song is inspired when they visited Graceland where Elvis had lived. There is an eternal flame near the Grace site that is always burning. The day when they were there it was raining but the fire had been extinguished when they visited the site.
